The Anzati are an ancient and mysterious near-Human species from the fog-shrouded planet Anzat. Though they appear humanoid, they possess unique and terrifying biological traits that have earned them a legendary reputation as hunters and predators throughout the galaxy. Anzati look very similar to Humans but possess hidden facial orifices that house long, tendril-like proboscises. These are used to extract the life essence, or 'soup,' from other sentient beings. Their eyes are deep and hypnotic, often unsettling those who meet their gaze. Anzati society is secretive and insular. They rarely congregate in large numbers and often live solitary lives. Feeding on the soup is not just a necessity, but a deeply personal and euphoric ritual. Anzati consider their prey’s strength of will to flavor their soup, with stronger minds yielding a more satisfying experience. Calm, patient, and predatory, Anzati are quiet observers who wait for the perfect moment to strike. Many are capable of passing as Humans or other near-Humans, allowing them to infiltrate other societies undetected.
