Defels, often referred to as 'Wraiths,' are shadowy, near-invisible beings from the high-radiation world of Af’El. Their fur absorbs nearly all visible light, making them difficult to perceive under most conditions. Stealthy and agile, Defels are natural hunters and infiltrators, often employed as assassins, scouts, or spies. Defels appear as hunched, bipedal canines covered in light-absorbing fur. They are only visible under ultraviolet light, and to most species, they appear as shimmering distortions or vague silhouettes. Defels are quiet, calculating, and self-reliant. They typically speak in low, whispery tones and prefer solitude or small, trusted circles. Their society is shaped by survival in an extreme environment and reveres cunning and caution over direct confrontation.

Naturally Invisible. You have Advantage on Stealth checks. While in low light and not moving, you are considered to be in total concealment.

Ultraviolet Vision. You have 90 feet of Darkvision and can see in the ultraviolet spectrum, allowing you to perceive beings and markings invisible to most species.
