    Zygerrian

Zygerrian slaver with a hand-cuffed Togruta slave Zygerrians are feared and infamous denizens of the Outer Rim, a feline-featured species whose history is steeped in piracy, slavery, and ruthless opportunism. From their harsh homeworld of Zygerria, they carved out a slave empire that once dominated key trade routes, supplying sentient chattel to Hutts, Imperials, and warlords alike. To many across the galaxy, the word "Zygerrian" is synonymous with collars, shock whips, and the bitter taste of chains.

Their culture is built on an uncompromising belief that strength entitles one to rule. Strength can mean different things to a Zygerrian—physical power, iron-clad will, or the nerve to take what others will not—but weakness is never tolerated. Those who falter are dominated, discarded, or enslaved, and this brutal worldview shapes everything from their politics to their personal relationships. Even among their own kind, status is constantly tested through intimidation, calculated violence, and the occasional bare-knuckle brawl.

Yet Zygerrians are not simple thugs. They are disciplined, organized, and frighteningly professional in their approach to business and war. Their slaver guilds are run like corporations, with contracts, territories, and membership dues. They maintain outposts, processing hubs, and slave markets on worlds scattered across the Outer Rim, using heavily armed starships and fearsome reputations to keep local authorities at bay. When the Galactic Empire legalized controlled slavery, Zygerrian fortunes surged once more as they supplied bodies for Imperial projects and front-line labor.

For all their cruelty, Zygerrians respect resolve—whether it comes from a fellow slaver, a rival captain, or a shackled prisoner who refuses to break. A Zygerrian who abandons the old ways and turns away from slavery is rare but not unheard of, and those individuals often become relentless allies, channeling their hard-earned instincts into hunting pirates, freeing captives, or navigating the criminal underworld on behalf of more idealistic causes.

Adventuring Zygerrians are dangerous, resourceful, and alert to opportunity. Many begin as enforcers, scouts, or slaver guards, only to later break away as mercenaries, soldiers, or independent operators. Others remain deeply entangled in the slave trade, using any crew or party they join as a means to expand their influence. Whether they stand as villains, uneasy allies, or redeemed outcasts, Zygerrians bring sharp reflexes, predatory instincts, and an unshakable sense of their own will to any story they enter.

Zygerrian with an electro-staff in traditional Zygerrian armor Home Planet: Zygerria, a flat and largely barren world in the Outer Rim.
Physical Description: Zygerrians are medium-built humanoids with distinctly feline features. They typically stand around 1.7 meters tall and weigh roughly 60 kilograms, with lean, wiry frames that favor speed and precision over brute mass. Their faces are sharply angular, with high cheekbones, pronounced jaws, and large pointed ears that twitch and swivel at the slightest sound. Long fangs jut subtly from the jaw, giving even a neutral expression a predatory tension.

Most Zygerrians possess fur along the face and ears, ranging from brown and gray to reddish or almost black. Males typically display thicker facial fur and may develop bony chin spurs, while females exhibit smaller protrusions or smoother features. Their eyes range from yellow to blue, often with slit-like reactions to light.

Their hands end in sharp claws capable of tearing flesh, though Zygerrians prefer to combine natural weaponry with shock whips, electrostaffs, and blasters. Their overall bearing is alert, calculating, and predatory—every posture subconsciously assessing leverage, opportunity, or threat.

Average Height: A typical Zygerrian stands around 1.7 meters tall.
Average Weight: A typical Zygerrian weighs about 60 kilograms.
Age of Adulthood: Zygerrians reach adulthood at around 17 years and commonly live into their 80s, with 40–60 considered middle-aged and 61+ considered old.

Personality & Customs: Zygerrian culture exalts strength above all else—physical might, force of will, mastery of fear, or dominance in negotiation. Weakness is scorned, exploited, or punished. Children are raised to be proud, confrontational, and unyielding, and adults reinforce these values through ritual challenges, combative politics, and ruthless business practices. A Zygerrian who submits easily is viewed as prey.

Their society is structured around clans and a rigid hierarchy of slaver guilds, nobles, and military forces. Power is earned by commanding fleets, running profitable slave operations, or intimidating rivals into submission. Disputes are settled through intimidation, unarmed combat, or formal duels.

Despite their brutality, Zygerrians respect discipline, organization, and business honor. When a deal is struck—especially among their own kind—it is expected to be upheld. Their fearsome reputation is cultivated deliberately, used as a weapon to silence resistance before a fight even begins.

Some Zygerrians reject the slaver culture entirely, often after betrayal, disillusionment, or exposure to the wider galaxy. Those rare individuals may become mercenaries, scouts, bounty hunters, or justice-driven wanderers who channel their instincts into new causes.

Languages: Most Zygerrians speak Galactic Basic as their primary language, though older clans and slaver crews sometimes use a harsh Zygerrian tongue among themselves.
