The Next Generation of Star Wars Tabletop Adventure

    Azumel

Azumel are a sentient species native to the world of Azum, easily recognized by their six expressive eyes and mottled skin. Their unusual vision grants them exceptional awareness of their surroundings, making them naturally observant, detail-oriented, and difficult to surprise. Azumel are found across the galaxy as gamblers, scouts, investigators, Jedi, and spacers who rely on keen perception and sharp insight. Their many eyes give them an uncanny ability to read body language, follow subtle card tells, and track multiple points of motion at once—an edge that serves them well at sabacc tables, in crowded cantinas, or on chaotic battlefields. However, this same sensitivity makes them vulnerable to sudden flashes, blinding lights, or intense glare, which can briefly overwhelm their senses. Culturally, Azumel tend to be curious, socially flexible, and comfortable in diverse company. Many gravitate toward work that rewards pattern recognition and intuition, from information brokering to treasure hunting to Jedi service. While individuals range from quiet professionals to flamboyant gamblers, most Azumel learn early to keep “all their eyes open” in a galaxy that rarely plays fair.

    Home Planet: Azum
Physical Description: Azumel are Near-Human in overall build but possess six eyes set across their brow and upper cheeks, allowing for a wide field of vision. Their skin ranges from gray to mottled brown, red, tan, or yellow, often with a leathery texture. Each hand typically has four fingers, and their eye colors vary widely, including blue, green, and orange. Their many eyes are highly expressive and can move semi-independently, giving them a reputation for unnerving stares at the sabacc table.

Personality & Customs: Azumel are observant, patient, and often quietly analytical. They favor careful watching over impulsive action and are quick to notice patterns in behavior, odds, and opportunity. Many enjoy games of chance and negotiation where their insight can tilt the outcome, though not all Azumel are gamblers. Their culture prizes adaptability and street smarts, and stories of clever Azumel outwitting pirates, rival crews, or con artists are common. They generally get along well with other species, as long as no one mistakes their constant staring for rudeness.
