The Next Generation of Star Wars Tabletop Adventure

    Ewok

Ewoks are small, fur-covered bipeds native to the forest moon of Endor, best known for helping the Rebel Alliance defeat the Galactic Empire’s shield generator during the Battle of Endor. Before the Empire’s arrival, they lived in treetop villages and hunted with spears, slings, and simple traps, existing at a stone-age level of technology. Though primitive by galactic standards, Ewoks are quick learners; once exposed to basic machines and vehicles, they rapidly grasp simple mechanical concepts and find creative ways to turn them against intruders. Most of the galaxy knew little or nothing about Ewoks before Endor. To outsiders they can look cute or harmless, but beneath the hoods and squeaky voices are determined, surprisingly strong warriors who fight ferociously when their tribe or forests are threatened. Their victory over Imperial walkers and stormtroopers is now legendary—especially among those who underestimated them.

Home Planet: Forest Moon of Endor (Outer Rim)
Physical Description: Ewoks are stocky, furred humanoids averaging about one meter in height, with fur colors ranging widely across browns, tans, grays, and mottled patterns. They have large expressive eyes, small noses, and hands with two fingers and an opposable thumb. Despite their size, they are deceptively strong and capable of overpowering larger foes with teamwork and leverage. Ewoks see well in low light and spend most of their lives high in the massive forest canopy, moving along rope bridges, platforms, and gliders between enormous trees.

    Average Height: 1.0 meter
    Average Weight: 30 kilograms
Age of Adulthood: 14 standard years

Personality & Customs: Curious, superstitious, and brave, Ewoks balance a healthy fear of the unknown with an equally powerful drive to investigate it. They live in tightly knit tribal communities where chiefs, shamans, and councils of elders guide tradition and spiritual life. Their animistic beliefs center on the great trees of Endor, legendary spirits, and myths like the Golden One who brought balance between light and darkness. Ewoks are resourceful hunters and foragers who use every part of the forest around them. They craft woven armor, wooden structures, and an impressive variety of traps and siege improvisations for such a ‘primitive’ culture. They love music, feasts, and storytelling, and often incorporate trophies and scavenged tech into their rituals. Ewoks who leave Endor usually do so out of curiosity, a desire for adventure, or in search of powerful ‘magic’ items and stories to bring back to their tribe.

Languages: Ewokese (spoken only; no native written form). Some Ewoks learn Basic.
