The Next Generation of Star Wars Tabletop Adventure

    Felucian

Felucians are mysterious, amphibious sentients native to the fungal jungles and swamps of Felucia. For millennia they remained largely unknown to the wider galaxy, hidden deep within the world’s bioluminescent undergrowth while offworld colonists clung to a few hard-won settlements. The planet’s dense, hostile ecosystem—and its strong connection to the Living Force—kept most outsiders from ever seeing a native Felucian in person.

Highly adapted to their surreal environment, Felucians move easily through the tangled swamp forests, disappearing into the riot of color, fungus, and light as if they were part of the landscape itself. Their culture is organized as a single planet-wide tribe broken into scattered villages, each guided by shamans who wield the Force in primal, instinctive ways. Many offworlders who encounter them describe Felucian behavior as erratic or unsettling, but beneath the alien mannerisms lies a people deeply attuned to the moods of their living world.

    Home Planet: Felucia (Outer Rim)
Physical Description: Felucians are tall, bipedal beings averaging around 1.9 meters in height, with elongated limbs built for wading through swamps and climbing slick fungal growths. Both their arms and legs end in large, webbed digits tipped with suction-cup pads that grant excellent grip on wet, uneven surfaces. From the underside of each forearm extends a secondary, shorter arm ending in three powerful, agile fingers, allowing Felucians to wield tools, weapons, or natural growths with surprising dexterity. Their heads are crowned with a thick mass of flexible tendrils whose tips glow softly, giving them a ghostly silhouette in the bioluminescent gloom. Their eyes and mouth appear as dark hollows within this mass of tendrils, lending them an eerie, mask-like visage.

    Average Height: 1.9 meters
    Average Weight: 90 kilograms
Age of Adulthood: 20 standard years

Personality & Customs: Felucians think and behave in ways that many outsiders find difficult to predict. Their moods can swing quickly from wary curiosity to sudden aggression or frenzied celebration, often mirroring the chaotic, ever-shifting energy of their homeworld. They live in small village clusters that are all considered part of a single greater tribe, held together by tradition, shared rituals, and the guidance of shamans deeply attuned to the Living Force. These shamans commune with the world’s flora and fauna, calling on the Force to defend their people, shape growth, or repel invaders. Felucian customs emphasize harmony with the surrounding jungle rather than control over it; they build within and around the existing fungal structures instead of clearing them away. Offworld technology is regarded with suspicion or outright hostility, especially when it scars the land. Those rare Felucians who leave Felucia are often shamans, hunters, or scouts pushed outward by visions, omens, or the scars left by war and exploitation. Even far from home, they remain strongly shaped by instinct, the Force, and a worldview rooted in cycles of growth, decay, and rebirth.

Languages: Felucianese (guttural, barking language). Some Felucians learn Basic, but it is uncommon.

    Example Names: Gokkuul, Kargrek, Hagark
