Ithorian

Ithorians—often called "Hammerheads"—are tall, gentle sentients from the lush jungle world of Ithor. Their most distinctive feature is their dual mouths positioned on either side of their long, curved necks, allowing them to speak in deep, rumbling stereo. Known throughout the galaxy as peaceful horticulturists, ecologists, healers, and diplomats, Ithorians are guided by a deep cultural reverence for nature, especially the Mother Jungle of Ithor. Their pacifistic nature is so strong that violence is considered taboo, and those who violate their cultural norms are exiled from their sacred world.

Ithorians travel the galaxy in massive Herd Ships—floating ecological preserves containing entire jungle ecosystems. These ships serve as both temples and marketplaces, bringing exotic goods, advanced agricultural knowledge, and the Ithorians’ serene presence to worlds across the galaxy. Though they prefer peace and harmony over conflict, Ithorians have proven themselves capable of remarkable bravery when defending life, nature, or the vulnerable.

While many Ithorians become healers, gardeners, and traders, others explore the galaxy’s diverse cultures or even join the Jedi Order, where their empathy and connection to living ecosystems serve them well. Despite their pacifism, Ithorians can unleash a devastating sonic bellow when pushed to extremes—a powerful natural defense rarely used, but feared by those who know of it.

Physical Description: Ithorians are tall humanoids with long necks that arc forward, ending in a wide, domed Hammerhead-shaped visage. They possess two mouths—one on each side of the neck—which creates a natural stereo effect in all vocalizations. Their bodies are long-limbed, gentle in posture, and usually earth-toned in coloration. They are strong but slow-moving, with a wide torso and smooth gait.

Ithorians value community, artistic craftsmanship, and ecological balance, often organizing themselves into Herds that operate floating cities both on Ithor and throughout the galaxy.
