When a Republic chairman and the native Talz nearly went to war over a frozen world, the person who stopped it was a young senator in blue: Riyo Chuchi, of Pantora. She had come to Orto Plutonia only as an observer. Her own government wanted the fight. She chose to talk instead — and brokered the peace her chairman couldn't. Years later she'd be one of the few voices in the Senate willing to stand up for the clone troopers everyone else was ready to discard.
Meet the Pantoran, the newest playable species in SWURPG — Chuchi's people, and the galaxy's diplomats by temperament.
Blue-skinned, cold-blooded, and impossible to bluff
Pantorans are near-Human — you'd take one for Human at a glance, until the color registers. Their skin runs powder-blue to deep cerulean, their eyes are gold, and their hair comes in cool blues, violets, and whites. Most wear swept facial markings that signal family and rank in the Pantoran Assembly, the elected body that runs their world.
They come from Pantora, a moon circling the ice planet Orto Plutonia out in the Outer Rim, and the cold shaped them: a Pantoran wears on a glacier about what you'd wear on a cool evening. But the detail that really defines them is quieter — their skin darkens toward indigo when they feel something strongly. A blush, a flash of temper, a lie caught in the throat: it all shows. It's why their culture leans so hard on sincerity. When you physically can't hide what you feel, you learn to win by being honest.
The build — a face that reads the room
In SWURPG, the Pantoran is a wisdom-driven face — a diplomat, negotiator, or fixer who wins a room by understanding it rather than overwhelming it:
- CHA +1 / WIS +1 / STR −2, proficient in Persuasion.
- Measured Diplomat — schooled in the Assembly's debate halls, you have Advantage on Insight. You read the table before you say a word.
- Frostborn — a childhood on an ice moon buys you Resistance to Cold and comfort in freezing conditions that send everyone else digging for survival gear.
- Well-Connected — a people of senators keeps close track of who holds power and who owes whom. You're proficient in Knowledge: Galactic Lore.
- Telltale Flush — the catch. Your own skin gives you away, so you have Disadvantage on Deception. A Pantoran persuades with the truth because the lie shows on their face.
That last trait is the whole character in one line. This is a rare face build that leans on wisdom over raw charm — the negotiator who reads people, keeps the crew out of fights it can't win, and already knows which moff or crime boss actually holds the leverage. Pair it with a talk-first class and let someone else do the bluffing.
