Build your own lightsaber, one step at a time. Pick a type, then add the emitter, grip, power cell, lens, and kyber crystal — each part attaches to the hilt as you go — and set any blade color you like. At the end, name it and hit Ignite to bring the blade to life, sound and all, then carry the saber straight into the character builder. Every part is a real SWURPG component, so what you design is what you can actually play.

How the builder works
A lightsaber is more than a colored blade — it’s an assembly, and this tool lets you make every choice, one step at a time, watching the hilt come together as you go. Step one is the type of saber — a standard single blade, a slender lightfoil, a short blade, a double-bladed staff, a crossguard, an oversized great blade, a guard shoto, or a reverse-grip retrosaber — which sets the weapon your character wields, each with its own damage and handling. Blade color is entirely up to you; in SWURPG color is cosmetic, so a Jedi, a Sith, or a wanderer can carry any hue they like. The 22 kyber crystals are where the real character lives: an Adegan crystal sharpens your strikes, a Barab Ore crystal adds fire, a Kaiburr crystal deepens your bond with the Force. Then the emitter, lens, power cell, and grip each add their own edge — a stabilized emitter for defense, a vibration lens for raw damage, a dueling grip so your blade is never knocked from your hand.
When your saber is finished, ignite it to see and hear it come alive — the blade extends with a snap-hiss and settles into a low hum, all synthesized in your browser. Then use Build a character with this hilt to drop the weapon into the character builder, where you can add the crystal and upgrades you chose in the Weapon Upgrades tab and finish a complete, playable hero. Is the lightsaber builder free?
Yes — it’s free and needs no account. Build, ignite, and design as many sabers as you like.
Can I pick any lightsaber color?
Any color at all, including a custom hue. In SWURPG, blade color is purely cosmetic — it has no effect on your stats — so there are no rules about who can wield which color.
Does the design carry into my character?
The hilt you choose is a real SWURPG weapon, and the button drops it straight into the character builder. The crystal, emitter, lens, cell, and grip you picked are real upgrades you add in the builder’s Weapon Upgrades tab.
