Backstory
Lyrra Visheth was born in the lower terrace tunnels of Lessu, Ryloth's capital, in a family that had run a small spice-runner front for three generations under the polite fiction of being a textile cooperative. Her mother kept the books for two competing crime lords without either knowing; her father was a quiet older Twi'lek who could pick any lock on the planet but never raised his voice. Lyrra grew up with a clear understanding that survival on Ryloth was a matter of who you knew, what you owed, and how quietly you could move through a market district with a stolen credit chip in your sleeve.
She was twelve the first time the Pyke Syndicate tried to recruit her for slicing work, and fourteen the first time she refused them and lived. By seventeen she had cleared two life-debts owed by her family, broken into a Hutt cartel's secured datavault to pull a friend's name off an enforcer's list, and earned a reputation in the under-spires as someone who could read a room and a security panel with equal ease. The lekku-sign she learned at her grandmother's knee turned out to be more useful than any blaster — half her best work has been negotiating in plain sight while her conversation partner has no idea what she's saying to the rest of her crew.
She left Ryloth at twenty after a job went sideways and a Pyke lieutenant ended up unable to identify her by face but very able to describe her gait. Since then she's worked the Outer Rim circuit — Bestine, Nar Shaddaa, the spaceports along the Corellian Run — taking slicing jobs, cargo escorts, and the occasional thoroughly illegal data-extraction contract for clients who can pay in something other than promises.
Lyrra runs light. Her gear fits in a single shoulder rig and a slim half-vest she can lose in a crowd. She prefers to leave a room before anyone realizes she was the problem, and her best weapon has always been knowing which conversation to overhear and which one to walk past. The Ryloth slums taught her that a smart Twi'lek who keeps her lekku still and her mouth charming can outlive almost anyone who underestimates her.
Roleplaying Tips
- ▸Point Blank Pressure: Scoundrel's signature feature gives Lyrra +1/+1 with the Blaster Pistol within 20 ft — narrate her closing distance fast, taking the shot at conversation range, then disengaging before the room reacts.
- ▸Lekku Tells: With Twi'lek Lekku Sensitivity (+2 Perception) and the lekku-sign code from her grandmother, Lyrra reads a room before she opens her mouth — describe her tracking exits, weapons, and tells, and signing observations to allies who know the code.
- ▸Charm First, Stealth Always: Twi'lek Natural Charm gives Advantage on Persuasion; Stealth Expertise makes her vanish on demand. Default to talking her way through, but always have an exit and never trust the first deal.
- ▸Lessu Manners: Lyrra grew up watching crime lords from the cheap seats. She speaks softly, never raises her voice, defaults to deflective humor when pressed, and only sharpens her tone when she's already decided what's going to happen next.
- ▸Debts and Receipts: Ryloth taught her that loyalty is a ledger. She remembers every favor owed and every score outstanding — protect her from sentimentality, and lean into clean transactional thinking when allies start moralizing.
