The Next Generation of Star Wars Tabletop Adventure

    Aqualish

Aqualish brawler engaged in close-quarters melee combat Aqualish are a rugged, tusked Star Wars species native to the frigid oceans and coastal regions of Ando. Known throughout Star Wars canon and Legends for their aggressive demeanor and powerful builds, Aqualish are often portrayed as mercenaries, enforcers, bounty hunters, and pirates. Yet their homeworld’s harsh environment—defined by freezing waters, violent storms, and territorial hunting grounds—has shaped a society far deeper and more structured than their fearsome reputation suggests. Survival, honor, and clan loyalty are cornerstones of Aqualish culture.

Three major subspecies—Aquala, Ualaq, and Quara—maintain distinct physical traits and social traditions, creating regional rivalries that influence everything from politics to combat rituals. Outsiders frequently misinterpret Aqualish directness as mindless brutality, but Aqualish value clear communication, decisive action, and personal strength. Their tempers flare quickly, yet cool just as fast once conflicts are resolved.

Across the Star Wars galaxy, Aqualish thrive in dangerous professions that reward resilience and fearlessness. Many become bodyguards, soldiers, bounty hunters, or laborers aboard starships and industrial sites. Though intimidating, Aqualish can be fiercely loyal allies when treated with respect, and their unwavering commitment to clan and comrades makes them valuable members of any adventuring party.
