Arkanians are a near-Human species from the frozen world of Arkania, renowned across the galaxy for their towering intellect, ruthless curiosity, and long history of scientific innovation. Arkanian research has fueled countless advances in galactic civilization — and some of its darkest atrocities. Knowledge, research, and technological progress define Arkanian culture. Their corporations and research enclaves pursue long-term projects that can span generations, often funded by profitable medical and technological patents. Many Arkanians are unafraid to use their expertise for personal or corporate gain, and the line between scientific curiosity and ethical boundary is frequently blurred. Their work has reshaped the genomes of multiple species, including their own, leaving a mixed legacy of miracle cures and irreversible harm. Socially, Arkanians are often seen as aloof, precise, and sharply judgmental. Physical Description: Arkanians are bipedal humanoids who closely resemble Humans, but with stark white, pupilless eyes and four clawed digits on each hand (three fingers and a thumb). Their eyes are adapted to the dim, frigid conditions of Arkania and can perceive into the infrared spectrum, making heat signatures stand out clearly in darkness. However, this sensitivity leaves them vulnerable to intense heat and bright solar glare, and many Arkanians traveling to hotter worlds wear specialized eye shields or filters.
