SWURPG respects intellectual property rights. This page describes the procedure for reporting alleged copyright infringement of content hosted at swurpg.com. For Star Wars trademark concerns from Lucasfilm, The Walt Disney Company, or their authorized agents, see also the Fan-Made Disclaimer — the same contact email handles both, and we respond in good faith to any rightsholder concern.
Designated contact
All DMCA notices and counter-notices should be sent to:
swurpg.official@gmail.com— Subject line: "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notice"
Submitting a DMCA notice
To report content on swurpg.com that you believe infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the address above including:
- Your full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (title, registration number if applicable, or representative samples if the work is a collection).
- The URL or sufficiently specific location of the material on swurpg.com that you claim is infringing. Page-level URLs are preferred; if multiple items on the same page are at issue, identify each.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Response timeline
We commit to acknowledging valid DMCA notices within 48 hours of receipt. Once an issue is acknowledged, we will:
- Investigate the claim and confirm the allegedly infringing material is reachable.
- Remove or restrict access to the material if the notice appears valid on its face, typically within five (5) business days.
- Notify the submitter or affected account holder (if any) that a notice was received and what action, if any, was taken.
- Maintain a record of the notice and our response in case of subsequent counter-notification.
Counter-notification
If your content has been removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including:
- Your full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A clear identification of the removed material and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district where SWURPG may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the original notice submitter.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material after 10–14 business days, unless the original notice submitter notifies us that they have filed a court action.
User-submitted content
Most user-visible content on swurpg.com (rules, species, classes, equipment, adventures, the bestiary) is authored by the SWURPG project itself. Some surfaces — saved characters, public character pages, and any future homebrew submissions — allow user-generated content.
SWURPG does not pre-review user-generated content. If you believe a user-submitted character or homebrew entry infringes your copyright or otherwise violates these terms, please use the notice procedure above. See also Terms of Use § 3 for the licensing terms users grant to SWURPG when making content public.
Repeat infringers
SWURPG reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that have been the subject of multiple substantiated DMCA notices. Each case is reviewed individually and in good faith.
Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Submit notices and counter-notices in good faith.
Star Wars trademark concerns

If you are a representative of Lucasfilm, The Walt Disney Company, or another rightsholder and would like to discuss any aspect of the site's use of trademarks — including modification or removal of specific references — please contact us at the address above. We will respond within 48 hours and act in good faith to resolve any concerns.
