Traits

Kin-Bound

Czerialans hold family close, and a Czerialan far from home tends to adopt one. While a conscious ally is within 30 feet of you, you have Advantage on saving throws against being Frightened or Charmed.

Homeworld-Bound

Your people are seldom found away from Czerialus, and the wider galaxy's history was never your subject. You have Disadvantage on Knowledge: Galactic Lore checks.

Lore

Czerialans are a near-Human species from Czerialus in the Expansion Region, recognisable anywhere by the tall pale crown of the skull, the orange-brown speckling across their skin, and the single white crest of hair that grows on the very top of the head. They are one of the galaxy's genuine unknowns: a people seen often enough in spaceport crowds to be familiar, and documented so thinly that most of what a traveller thinks they know about them is guesswork.

Physically they read as Human at a distance and stop reading that way up close. The cranium rises noticeably higher than a Human's, with a band of discoloration around the crown, and the skin is very light tan carrying darker orange or brown speckles. Hair is white or a very pale orange from birth — not a sign of age — and it grows in one patch on the top of the head rather than across the scalp.

Czerialus sits in the Czerialus system, in the Kailion sector, out in the Expansion Region at grid O-13. During the Imperial era the world fell under Imperial control, which is the detail that gives the species its one documented story: the Xoczuko family, having grown disheartened with life on Corellia, set out to return home without knowing what was waiting for them there.

Family is the thread that runs through what little is recorded of Czerialan culture — the family unit clearly matters, and the one Czerialan story on record is a family trying to go home together. They are also, almost without exception, found on Czerialus. **Whether that is isolationism, or something else entirely, the sources do not say** — this is a genuine blank rather than an established trait, and it is worth knowing that before you build a character around it.

The Czerialan the galaxy has a name for is **Jannitha Xoczuko**, a droid programmer for the Corellian Engineering Corporation who lived on Corellia with her family, grew unhappy with what the military industry was asking of her, and planned to move back to Czerialus. The species itself first reached the screen quietly, as background faces in *Solo*.

As a player character, a Czerialan is a long way from home and usually there for a reason. **INT +1** and **WIS +1** suit a considered, observant sort, **Insight** comes standard, and **Kin-Bound** rewards staying near the people you count as yours. **CHA −2** and **Homeworld-Bound** are the cost of a life spent on one world: you are not the party's negotiator, and the wider galaxy's history is somebody else's subject. Where the sources stop, this page says so: the mechanical kit below is our reading of the published biology and culture, not established game canon.

Physical Description

Czerialans look near-Human until you look properly. The skull rises into a tall, distinctly domed cranium, higher than a Human's and marked by a band of discoloration around the crown. Skin is usually a very light tan carrying darker speckles in orange or brown, scattered most heavily across the forehead and crown.

Hair is white or a very light orange and is that colour from birth rather than with age. It grows in a single patch on the very top of the head instead of across the scalp, which gives the species its distinctive silhouette — a pale crest above a speckled brow.

(Assumption: no source gives a height range, a weight range, or an age of majority for the species. The figures on this page are our estimates, set at near-Human norms because that is what the species resembles.)

Culture & Personality

What is documented about Czerialan life comes down to two things: family matters, and they stay home. The family unit is clearly central — the one recorded Czerialan story is of a family trying to return to Czerialus together — and members of the species are seldom found far from their homeworld.

**Why they stay is explicitly unrevealed.** It could be isolationism, as with the Shistavanen; it could be poverty, Imperial restriction, or simple contentment. The sources decline to say, and rather than invent a reason we leave the question open — which makes it a useful hook for a GM, since any answer you choose is as canonical as any other.

The Czerialans who do leave tend to have a concrete reason and a return trip in mind. Jannitha Xoczuko went to Corellia for the work, disliked what the work became, and planned to go home. That is a good template for a Czerialan adventurer: competent, a little out of place, and quietly measuring the distance back to Czerialus.

Famous Czerialan Characters

Jannitha XoczukoDroid programmer

Jannitha Xoczuko programmed droids for the Corellian Engineering Corporation and lived on Corellia with her family. Unhappy with what the military side of the industry had become, she planned to move back to Czerialus — not knowing the Empire had taken control of the planet. She is the only named Czerialan on record.
