About the Shikkar
A shikkar is a dagger of Sith glass — a long, delicate, beautiful blade forged with the Force by Sith artisans in the centuries after the Hundred-Year Darkness, and treasured by the Lost Tribe of Sith on Kesh as much for its artistry as its lethality. Its purpose is singular and monstrous: once the blade is driven home, a twist of the hilt snaps the glass off inside the wound, leaving a shard to fester in the victim's body. Death by shikkar is slow and agonizing, and among the Sith it is regarded as an insulting way to kill — a murder meant to demean as much as to end. Assassins prized it precisely because a forearm-long blade of clear glass hides beneath robes and passes where steel would be caught; Sith apprentice Vestara Khai and others carried shikkars in the years the Lost Tribe hunted the Jedi. It is a single-use weapon by design — elegant, concealable, and left behind in the body of the dead.
Notes
Rare. A Force-crafted glass dagger prized by Sith assassins — long and elegant, yet easily concealed (Advantage on checks to hide it on your person). On a hit, you may snap the hilt free as a bonus action, leaving the blade buried in the wound: the target takes 1d4 Piercing at the start of each of its turns until a creature uses an action to remove it (Wisdom (Medicine) check, DC 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity modifier) — and the shikkar is destroyed. A cruel, single-use killing tool.
