Effect
As an Action, you speak the ancient Sith incantation *Dwomutsiqsa* and tear a manifestation of the dark side — a Smoke Demon — into being in an unoccupied space within 30 feet. It persists for up to 1 minute (concentration). The Smoke Demon is a roiling Medium apparition: AC 13, hit points equal to five times your character level, immune to Poison damage and to being Frightened, Charmed, or knocked Prone. At the start of each of its turns, every enemy within 15 feet of it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or become Frightened of the demon until the start of its next turn and take 2d6 Force damage as terror claws through them. The demon makes no weapon attacks — it is a beacon of dread, not a duelist. It cannot move more than 30 feet from where you conjured it, and it dissipates instantly if it drops to 0 hit points or your concentration ends.
At the Table
Cornered in the tomb's antechamber, the Sith Lord spends 4 FP and speaks the old word. Black smoke coils up into a Medium horror between him and the party (AC 13, HP five times his level). On its turn, everyone within 15 feet rolls a Wisdom save against his Force DC — those who fail are Frightened and take 2d6 Force damage while he retreats deeper into the dark.
In the Lore
*Dwomutsiqsa* — "Summon Demon" — is among the oldest and most feared incantations in the Book of Sith, calling up a Smoke Demon: not a living thing but a manifestation of the dark side given shape and hunger. Unlike a Nightsister's ancestral spirit-warrior, the Smoke Demon does not fight so much as radiate terror, unmaking the courage of everyone near it. The Sith summoned them to break a line before a blade was ever drawn.
