About the Whipcord Launcher
The whipcord launcher is the quiet workhorse of Mandalorian gauntlet-craft: a spool of near-unbreakable fibercord fired from a wrist housing to snare, bind, and reel in whatever it catches. Boba Fett used one to hang a Jedi helpless on the deck of a sail barge; Din Djarin used the same tool to drag prey out of cover and to swing across gaps a jetpack could not safely cross. It is a capture weapon first and a killing one never — its value is a mark trussed and breathing, and its reusable line makes it as much climbing gear as armament. A hunter who prizes a live payout learns the whipcord before the blaster.
Notes
Uncommon. A wrist-mounted fibercord launcher — the Mandalorian capture-and-grapple tool. On a hit against a Large or smaller creature, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity modifier) or be Restrained until it or an ally uses an action to break free. The reusable line also anchors to surfaces and bears the wearer's weight, serving as a grappling line (as a Liquid Cable Dispenser).
