Lore
The EML-850 light freighter was the Barsha family's bid to build the perfect underworld ship — a light, fast, single-pilot hauler wrapped in an exterior of durasteel plating that made it, in Sliro Barsha's words, 'inconspicuous, virtually indestructible.' That armor was also its undoing as a product: the durasteel cost a fortune, mass production was abandoned in favor of cheaper models, and most of the run was eventually destroyed, repurposed, or scrapped.
The most famous survivor is the Trailblazer, Sliro Barsha's personal ship — a fully outfitted EML-850 with a hyperdrive, deflector shields, laser cannons, and a comfortable cabin set between the cargo hold and the bridge. It was stolen from Barsha's Westhill Palace by the Canto Bight thief Kay Vess, who made it her own and ran it across the Outer Rim underworld during the Galactic Civil War — though it had slipped out of Barsha's hands at least once before, lifted by the thief Jet Kordo.
For players, the EML-850 is the rare, expensive ride that shrugs off punishment most light freighters can't. The durasteel plating gives it tank-grade survivability in a small, nimble hull — the ideal smuggler's ship for a crew that wants to be hard to kill and harder to catch.

Special Conditions
Durasteel-Plated Hull
An exterior of solid durasteel makes the EML-850 'inconspicuous, virtually indestructible' — far tougher than a light freighter has any right to be (reflected in its high Structural Integrity). The same plating made it ruinously expensive to build, which is why so few were ever made.
